Cut tires scrape the ground much better, than whole tires would I think. Semi tires are quite heavy, 4 of them cut in half will make a good sized drag. Oh and I sometimes used it on hay land that I've spread manure in, to break up clumps - again it works in faster, and breaks it down, so next cutting you wont be baling it up. So I can't take it down the (paved) road or anything. I have thought of making some sort of frame that hangs off the 3point hitch so that I could lift the whole thing off the ground, but that's more work than I've had time for figuring out yet. I don't do it every time the cattle pass thru, but only when I see there is a lot of manure that could benefit from being spread out.
